It’s such a beautiful day here in Corbin with the sun shining so strong and crisp I had to write a poem about it, this is not my normal style but I need the practice for sure.
The Sun Is Never The Same
Warm and powerful as it shines down on us
so strong and pleasant after winters battle
Spring is here and it’s a joyous time
invoking poems and songs with rambunctious rhymes
the wind softly blowing as the countryside chime’s
everyone has a smile if only for today
such a wonderful moment such a brightly awesome day
You would think it’s time for the yearly parade
Main street is like a family reunion
so many people bustling about and not in a hurry
if only everyday was as beautiful as it is right now
everyone might forget their qualms and quandary’s
and we might just actually all learn to bask in the sun
remember that we all have the same skeletal structure
we might just learn how similar we all are
and I wish, how I wish… we could all start to forget and move on.
A Haiku…Type of thing
My Chaos of a moon
shining so cautiously, tempting risky mistakes
Hazardously guiding us safely home
