Nano bubbles Successfully Kill Cancer Cells_ 'Quadrapeutics' Method Employs Chemotherapy Drugs and Lasers

Cancer is the form of disease that has many forms and many types to deal with. Still there are many researchers and clinical studies happening around the globe to find the spot on treatment for cancer.

It seems that there has been a solution in the Nano bubbles Lab where the lead scientist has invented a gold bullet that can kill cancer cells and treat the disease. Nano particles of gold will be used to treat cancer in this method. These particles will be sent in the body where they will meet the near infrared laser and they will create and burst the cells around the tumor. It is said in a recent study that these nano particles are effective as a cocktails of chemotherapy and radiation and is effective in the most critical type of neck cancers. These nano particles work as antibodies and enter the cancel cells effectively. As soon as they enter the cancer cells, they burst the cells and he remaining gets exploded by the chemotherapy effect of the gold particles.

The healthy cells in the body are untouched and they will stay in the body unaffected. This type of treatment is called the “Quadrepeutics” method and is the perfect combination of treatment and chemotherapy. This treatment was developed two years ago in the Rice University but was under clinical trials. The method is useful in some of most high resistant cancers to chemotherapy and is difficult to treat which leads to lower survival rates. Also in some of the critical types the healthy cells are often interlaced with the cancer cells, it is difficult to perform the surgery or any kind of treatment as it can harm the healthy tissues in the body. The use of encapsulated drugs, nano particles of gold, short laser pulses and x-rays form a team together to get the effect of the chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Dmitri Lapotk who is head of the research team says that the cells are capable to target only the cancer cells, leaving the healthy cells untouched and they are able to perform the surgery, chemo and radiation as they enter the cancer cells.

The treatment is done in three stages and involves several components. First, the clinically proven encapsulated drug is entered the body, it only targets the cancerous cells. Then the antibodies are injected and they enter the cluster and accumulate the target cells. These nano particles are activated with the help of laser pulse or radiation. The third stage of the treatment involves the laser pulse treatment of the tumor. This treatment destructs the cancerous cells and magnifies the chemotherapy effect on the body. The methods were tried and tested on the mice and it was effective and found out that only 2% to 6% clinical doses were required to eliminate the disease. The study only targets on the neck and head tumors and it should be applicable in all types of cancers.
