Hair & Beauty Magazine
I feel like I've gotten a bit out of touch with product reviews lately while I was organising my giveaway and the photography post that have both gone live within the past few days. Today's post is all about hair and the product that has been giving me really soft and manageable hair lately, and this product is the Naked Shine Glossing Hair Treatment. Believe it or not but I picked up this huge tub of treatment cream in Poundland for, yes you guessed it, just £1. Bargain or what! I'll admit that I hadn't ventured into the world of Naked products before I bought this hair treatment but when you get the opportunity to try the brand out for £1 you really can't say no. The first thing I noticed was just how big this tub really was, with a massive 400ml of product inside which is great as it's definitely going to last quite a long time.
Naked's biggest selling point is that their products contain 97% natural ingredients which is always a plus, although I'm really not too fussed about this as long as the product works well for me. The product itself is a thick off-white coloured cream and once again I'm not going to do very well at explaining what it smells like. I do pick up slight hints of coconut & shea in the scent but there's something a bit more overpowering that I just can't put my finger on. It's recommended that you apply this treatment to the ends your hair after washing and then rinsing it off after 3-5 minutes. I've been using this product in 2 ways, with the first following their recommendation of leaving it on your hair for a few minutes after washing. The other way I've been using it has been as a deep treatment that is left on the lengths and ends of my hair overnight. Since this cream is quite thick you don't need to worry about it dripping off or slipping out of your hair after application, and I tend to tie my hair up in a messy topknot overnight to keep the product in place. Then all that's left to do is rinse it out in the morning and then wash your hair as normal. I'd definitely advise that you avoid applying this cream anywhere near your scalp as I'd hate to imagine that greasy mess that would be left from such a thick conditioning cream.
Now onto the results. I'm pleased to say that my very dry ends are kept at bay with this cream and I really don't think my hair has ever felt this glossy after a wash. I was worried that the thick consistency of the cream might weigh my hair down quite a bit but instead your left with healthy looking hair so I couldn't be happier. As my hair is quite long now (past my boobs at least) there's a fair amount of hair to treat but a little of this cream does go a long way which means you'll be left with this tub for a fair amount of time. Regular readers will already know that I've been on a mission to find products that give me shiny and soft hair without upsetting my oily scalp (combination hair is never fun), but this treatment has been great for giving the lengths and ends of my hair a new lease of life. I've had a look for this product online but it looks as though it's no longer stocked in Boots or Superdrug, so I'd recommend that you check your local Poundland incase there's still some stock left. It's an absolute bargain at £1 and I couldn't recommend it more for anyone searching for healthier looking hair. I can definitely see myself trying more Naked products now, especially after reading so many great reviews of their haircare and skincare products. Are you a fan of Naked?
