With the market share having grown exponentially in recent years, nail polishes have rooted their position as substantial revenue generators in the cosmetic market. Reflecting this dynamism, 2014 Cosmoprof Asia focuses on the Nail and Accessories sector– a dedicated zone located at Grand Hall and Foyer presenting 124 exhibiting companies representing the full spectrum of nail segments from nail care to nail polish; and nail accessories to decorative tools. Returning key-players include Keystone Industries and LeChat from USA, Faby Line from Italy and Sizukakorea from Korea. Among new comers to this sector are market leaders such as US-based Kiss Products and Korea-based Weme International. Visitors will also find the world leading polish manufacturer Fiabila (France) and IL Cosmetics (Luxembourg) at the Packaging and OEM sector in hall 5G. Korea spotlights the “International Nail Days” as it is one of the most lucrative nail markets in the region driven by the “Korean Wave”. On 12 November, Korean nail artists Park Na Yeong and Kim Kyoung Ha will introduce the nail patterns and decorative parts that are most popular among K-Pop stars, while famous nail bloggers Seo Mi-dae and Yang Jae-Hee, best known as nail artists working with numerous celebrities for fashion magazines such as “Allure”, “InStyle”, Cosmopolitan” and “NAILHOLIC” in Korea. will demonstrate live their unique nail creations uncovering the hottest K-nail trends with plenty of inspirations from original Korean fashion, beauty and culture on 13 November.
On 12 November, Kinoshita Mihori, the Director of NPO Japan Nailist Association, will reveal the latest color trends, fashion, cosmetic trends and elements matching contemporary Japanese market and culture. At the same date, Beautystreams, the world leading trend source for beauty and packaging industries, will discover the latest trends in nails, from recent runaways and trade shows to future forecasts with a look at the not-to-miss colours, key textures, and emerging applications for the nail sector. In addition, select exhibitors will be given a time slot of each day to present their latest launch via the Exhibitors Look and Learn Sessions. Attendees will be able to explore the latest products, key trends, and emerging technologies triggering growth on the professional beauty and nail care scene.“LIKE MY NAILS!” FACEBOOK CONTEST
The “Like My Nails!” Facebook contest is back. Based upon overwhelming response in 2013, this social-online to live-onsite contest and event returns to Cosmoprof Asia 2014. Nail professionals and enthusiasts alike can again upload images of their best nail art (this year’s theme is the many aspects of the world of flowers), share the images, and invite their friends and contacts to “Like” them, in order to contend for winning places for “LIKE MY NAILS”. Winners gaining the highest number of “Likes” will have the opportunity to demonstrate their nail art on the Cosmoprof Asia 2014 stage in front of professional operators and international buyers.
HONG KONG PROFESSIONAL NAILIST UNION COMPETITION
Another occasion not to be missed is the competition organised by the Hong Kong Professional Nailist Union, which will be held on 14 November. Over 200 operators from Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Russia, USA and Italy will be competing among 8 categories including French Sculpture, One Tone Sculpture, Gel Manicure, Design Sculpture, Flat Art Tip Design, Fantasy Nail Art, Mix Media Boxed Nail Art and Manicure Art. The prestige awards are judged by an esteemed panel of the industry veterans.
