Nails Done, Hair Done, Everything Did...

By Livedwithlove @kerrymarie
On Saturday, I had the afternoon off being Mummy and as much as I love Sienna and being mummy, it was welcome change to be just me. I took the time to pamper myself ready for a night and used an array of new beauty bits so thought I'd share them with you in one big, exciting post!

If I do nothing else for a night out, I make sure I have a nice tan so I always get that done first. I tried out the Vita Liberata Moment by Moment Tinted Self Tan Mousse*. Applying it with the mitt was an absolute dream, I had an instant tan that blended into the skin lovely with no patchiness. It quickly got darker over a few hours and when I showered, I was left with beautifully bronzed skin that looked natural and glowy. Perfect! I love how quick this develops as it means I can still squeeze in a great tan if I only have a few hours notice!

Next I worked on my nails. On my toe nails I actually cheated and applied these Kiss nail wraps* a few days a go. They were so easy to apply, last ages and look amazing; much easier & quicker than doing the nail art myself. I nearly applied a top coat to ensure the longevity but I am actually happy with how well they are going without it! I can see these are going to be popular on my toes from now on!

If I thought gel nails were the quickest and easiest way to get glossy, perfectly finished finger nails, I was wrong. These Impress Nails* are literally the bomb and I am hooked! I will admit, I was hesitant to use them and wasn't going to keep them on. Or more to the point, thought they wouldn't last through Saturday night's antics and I'd wake up with about 2 left on. How wrong was I?!
From the moment I peeled the back off my first nail and applied it, I was amazed at how well they stuck and how secure they felt. When I had finished applying all ten nails, I had gone from slummy mommy to yummy mommy in all of 2 minutes, well, ok, my hands had at least! They look amazing and have filled the void in my life that no longer having acrylics had left.

When it comes to my lashes, I have a hate-hate relationship with them. As you can see from the above photo they are sparse, full of gaps and just dang right horrible! No matter what products or tools I use, I can't get that glamour I long for. For nights out, lashes are a must and these new KISS Haute Couture natural lashes* are just my style. I like to add volume and thickness rather than length as much so I still try and go quite natural as the name of these suggests.
They are made from high quality real hair so can be styled and curled just as you would your own lashes. They are lightweight, comfortable and so soft that you barely notice they are there. Supplied with the lashes is the lash glue and a unique applicator to make the application process even quicker and easier. I also took the applicator and glue out with me just incase of any mishaps and although I didn't have to use them, it saves any risk of losing your best tweezers!
What I found great about these particular lashes is that I didn't have to trim them at all, they were the perfect fit for my eyes where usually with other brands, they are way too long and I have to faff about getting the correct size. They gave me the luxury lashes I was after yet weren't to over the top for a night down the local.

For my hair, I used the biOrganics salon secret elixir perfecting oil* on it when it was towel dried, before blow drying & styling. This helps to smooth frizziness, add shine, helps strengthen, nourish and  repair the hair and also protects it from heat styling and speeds up blow drying time. Wow, what a serious wonder product! I really noticed my hair took a lot less time to blow dry and felt in great condition afterwards. I then curled it loosely with my Babyliss conical wand and finished with some VO5 hairspray and Batiste dry shampoo to add texture and volume.

My finished look :) I even braved a brighter/darker lip for Autumn! I won't share with you how I looked at the end of the night or the morning after.. haha!
Have you used any of these products? What ones look great to you?
