Nail Candy Review

By Marijonails @marijonails
Hi everyone!!
I have a review of polishes from a line called Nail Candy. They have dual ended polishes with two polishes. It also contains two brushes and two "micro-tips." The micro-tips can be used to create dots and stripes by squeezing the pen and polish comes out at the tip.

The polishes I got are from their spring colors. They remind me so much of Easter.

The polishes applied really well. They weren't streaky like most pastels. I even liked the yellow on me, which doesn't happen. I applied two coats of each and they were fully opaque.
I then applied dots of the alternate color on each nail. I found it difficult to create perfect dots with the micro-tip. The polish didn't always come out of the pen in the same amounts. I was able to get a decent mani out of it though. You can see on my index finger that way too much came out of the pen.

I finished this mani with Beauty Secrets top coat. I really like these two colors together. I just wish the dots were neater.

The pink and green applied really well also. The pink was a creme and the green was a jelly. I had even more problems with these pens. Well, the pink one. I had an extremely hard time getting the polish out of the pen. I followed their instructions to wipe the tip of the pen with polish remover if the pen was clogged, but it didn't work. I also tried unclogging it with a mini tool that comes with the pen, but that didn't work either.
So I stopped trying to make pink dots over the green nail.

I am loving these two colors together!! I don't think I would have put them together on my own.
These pens are really a great idea. I like that the formula of the polishes are really good. I just think that the micro-tips are difficult to use.
Nail Candy Pens can be purchased online at http://www.nailcandypen.com/. The cost is $10 per pen. The site also has a store locator to find out where you can purchase them in your area.
