In a surprise decision returning officer has rejected nomination papers of PML-N Candidate Ayaz Amir from NA-60 Chakwal. Ayaz Amir is a veteran columnist who regularly contributes in leading Newspapers and Television Talk Shows. Ayaz Amir told journalists that returning officer rejected his nomination papers based on two columns he wrote about ideology of Pakistan.
Ayaz Amir was the returned candidate from NA-60 Chakwal in 2008 general election on PML-N ticket. Highest number of votes were polled for him in whole Punjab province.
