I don't know about you but the idea of a felt tip eyeliner pen always excited me as it just looked like so much fun to use and so handy to have in your make-up bag for quick touch ups when you're on the go. Maybe I'm just a bit sad but that's another story. Anyway, it isn't going to be a positive post which pains me to say but I'll just stop rambling and get on with it.
I first ventured into the world of felt tip liner last summer when Barry M released their Wink black marker pen, and of course I had to give it a go as soon as I was home. I was amazed at how easy it was to use and how thick the product came out from the felt tip point and for the next few days me and Mr Wink were just the best of friends. Unfortunately the pen completely dried up after just a few days of use and I was honestly so heartbroken as I'd really enjoyed using it, and I don't know if I just had a dud product or what as I had made sure the cap was securely on at all times.
This experience put me off felt tip liners for a long while until I recently decided to give the MUA Extreme Felt Liner in my most recent MUA haul. Again I was looking forward to giving this product a try and loved the effect it had on my eyes with a nice consistency and easy application. All was going well until surprise surprise, this pen unfortunately dried out too. I really don't know if I had done anything wrong as again I made sure that the cap was on after each use but after a couple of weeks use this pen was unusable.
Obviously these are just my experiences of felt tip liners and shouldn't turn you against possibly trying them in the future, but I just thought I would make a small post for my thoughts about them as I really did want to love them due to my initial excitement. Please let me know if you are a lover of felt tip liner pens as it would be good to hear some nice stories!
