My Singapore Holiday Trip Part 1

By Yessy_suwandi @yessy_1988
Hi everyone!!
I'm going to post my last trip to Singapore, the nearest contry to do overseas traveling. It was my first time having holiday only with my friends, no parents, no family. I was super excited to do this trip, because it will be my very first time do traveling all by myself.
For you who want to have a super exciting trip in Singapore with friends, you could get my post as your quick guide (it's not reccomended if you are going to go with your parents, since you will just walk and walk, no long rest, no afternoon nap, this guide will make your parents kinda dying for sure, lol.)
Day 1
January 7th, 2013
We had arrived at Juanda International Airport Surabaya at 6.00am. Super early! I was not in a fully-conscious being, super sleepy but super excited!!
I met up with my friends, there are seven of us, 3 boys, 4 girls. Our flight was scheduled at 8.00am then we arrived in Singapore at 11.30am, there's an hour time difference between Singapore and Surabaya. Let me introduce you to all my companies first ^^

First thing to do when you arrived in Singapore, you better buy some local phone number and an EZ-Link Card. These 2 little things will be your saver everytime, believe me. Local phone number will let you call or even text your companies much cheaper than your indonesian phone number. And EZ-Link will be your key to go anywhere, top up some amounts and you are welcomed to enter any MRT Route! Local phone number will costs you 28SGD (i turn on my blackberry services for 7days for 15SGD, then i used the rest 13SGD to call and text, it's more than enough, i told you) and 5SGD for an EZ-Link Card.
After buying phone simcard and EZ-Link Card, we went to our appartment by MRT. Our appartment was on Orchard Road, so it was super easy to be reached.
My Singapore Holiday Trip Part 1
Here is i post an MRT Map, i must say, Singapore transportation is very cheap and easy! I just spend 20SGD on my EZ-Link Card, and I go anywhere!! (Just so you know, we've been stayed there for 5 days). You can find any nice appartment by googling, i've found mine too and the apartment was so clean and nice (it costs me 41.25SGD/night/pack or 350.000 IDR). To go to Orchard, you have take the green route first (East West Line) from Changi Airport (the rightest one) to Tanah Merah, then you have to move to another train which go to Joo Kon. Stop when you reached City Hall, as you can see it's an interchange to the red line route or North West Line. Go upstairs and find signages that point to Red Line MRT (either to Jurong East or to Marina Bay). After arrived to the Red Line MRT, you gotta catch one which go to Jurong East. Then make a stop at Somerset. Take an exit through 313Somerset. Tadaaa! You arrive at the Singapore Shopping Center Orchard Road!!
Our appartment was at Centrepoint. After arrived there, we decided to go along the Orchard Road to window shopping and have a dinner. Orchard Road was sooo pretty at night, there are colorful lights everywhere. We had a dinner at Takasimaya Food Center, anyfood in Singapore will costs you approx.5-8 SGD (or 40.000-65.000 IDR).

Day 2
January 8th, 2013
We wake up so early that morning, having breakfast at Ya Kun Kaya Toast at Centrepoint Plaza was a super great starter! Kaya toast with eggs plus hot chocolate, super yummy!!
Our schedule that day is all about Sentosa Island. We take a MRT ride which is head to Marina Bay then stop at the first station Dhobi Ghaut, it's an interchange so we move to Purple Line Route or North East Line, heading to Harbour Front. We arrived at Vivo City Mall at 11.30am, just so you know most MRT Station in Singapore are linked to Mall, go to the top floor, buy tickets to watch Song of The Sea Show at 7.40pm then catch a sky train to Sentosa Island where The famous Universal Studio Singapore is. Stop at first station, i forgot the station name. Then there we arrived at USS!! Yippyy, playing time! USS Tickets costs 60 SGD or around 480.000 IDR.
The most wanted rides that you mustn't miss are The Mummy, Transformer, Galactica Jet Coaster and Jurassic Park. The other rides are also exciting but the four that i've mentioned before are the MOST exciting. Oh yeah, you have to watch the Waterworld show too, it's amazing!!

We went out from USS and took a skytrain ride heading to Song of The Sea, again i forgot the station name, sorry >.< Then we watched the show, it's quite nice. But since it's not my first time watching, so i was not too excited. Lol. We had dinner at Vivo City Food Republic, so many food variants to be chosen, mine is... Again I forgot the name!! Forget what you've read just now. Lol.Headed back to our appartment and arrived at 11.00pm.
