I think this kind of post was inevitable for a nail polish junkie like me, but I wanted to put together my most used shades from my 3 favorite brands since it's probably the best way to show you which ones are my absolute favourites. It's no secret that I love Barry M, Essie and Models Own so of course they all had to be included, and it was easy enough to pick out my 3 favorite shades from each brands judging by the amount left in the bottle. I hope any other nail polish addicts out there (and anyone else for that matter!) can enjoy this post and maybe even take away a few shade recommendations.
Barry M Peach Melba - This is without a doubt my favorite orange toned peach shade and has been rediscovered so many times in the 2 years that I've had it. I can remembering wearing it non-stop during the summer that I first bought it and is still a firm favorite when it's back on the nails. You can find a swatch of Peach Melba here.
Barry M Berry Ice Cream - Another old favorite from Barry M is Berry Ice Cream and it is such a pretty soft lilac color. I think this might even have been the first ever Barry M shade that I purchased on a whim in Boots years ago. It's such a lovely color all year round and always makes me fall back in love with lilacs when I come across it in the drawer. You can find a swatch of Berry Ice Cream here.
Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream - Continuing on with the love for the ice cream collection (and pastel shades in general), Strawberry Ice Cream is a lovely soft baby pink which always leaves my hands looking so nicely polished and perfect for any season. Again, this was purchased years back and will always be one of my favorite shades in the collection. You can find a swatch of Strawberry Ice Cream here.
Essie Mint Candy Apple - Hello blogger favourite, of course you had to be included! I'm sure you all know about this famous shade and for good reason too as it's such a nice mint green shade that is perfect for the spring and summer. I've used about half the bottle and unfortunately the formula is getting a bit on the gloopy side so I'll have another go with a drop of nail polish remover, or else a new bottle will need to be purchased. You can find a swatch of Mint Candy Apple here.
Essie Topless & Barefoot - This is definitely my favorite nude shade and one that has been well worn since I bought it over a year ago. It's more of a pink toned nude which I think compliments my skin-tone well and always leaves my nails looking so nicely done. As with Mint Candy Apple, this fomula is getting a little on the gloopy side which can be a pain with application but I'll see if I can fix that. You can find a swatch of Topless & Barefoot here.
Essie Van D'Go - Here we have my absolute favorite nail polish shade, the lovely Van D'Go. It's no secret that I have a massive soft spot for anything peach coloured and this pink toned peach is just the perfect peach nail polish in my eyes. It's such a pretty color that has been taken on holiday numerous times as it's my signature color in the summer and I think it's about time I replace the much loved bottle for a new one this summer. You can find a swatch of Van D'go here.
Models Own Utopia - This has been another blogger favourite, especially when it comes to Models Own, and I can definitely understand the hype as it's such a lovely pale lilac with a little hint of gray which makes it so unusual (in my collection at least). This is a color that can be worn with just about anything as it is so neutral but still very sophisticated looking and I just love the way it makes my nails look. You can find a swatch of Utopia here.
Models Own Peach Sherbet - Say hello to my first ever Models Own polish from a couple of years ago. I'd eyed up this shade after seeing it appear on so many blogs and I'm so glad I did as it is a gorgeous orange toned creamy peach shade that is perfect for the summer time. You can find a swatch of Peach Sherbet here.
Models Own Juicy Jules - I can't put into words how stunning this glitter polish is. Juicy Jules is packed full of holographic glitter and can either be used as a slight glitter topcoat or built up for an opaque coverage, but either way it's absolutely gorgeous and perfect for when you want to get yourself dolled up before going out. I've been reaching more for this polish recently as I think I caught the ring finger manicure bug. You can find a swatch of Juicy Jules here.
