My Florida Trip (Pic Heavy)

By Marijonails @marijonails
Hi everyone!!
As I mentioned earlier this week, I had to travel to Florida for a conference.  I decided to do this post to share some of my experiences while away (including hauls).
Most importantly, what I wore on my nails.

This is Sally Hansen Salon Effects Misbehaved.  I wanted something that would last the entire time without having to worry about chipping.  It applied well and I really loved this design.

You guys know I'm a foodie, so I took pictures of most of the things I had.  This was my lunch on the first day.  It was from the restaurant in the hotel lobby.  A fish sandwich with fries.  The coleslaw was amazing!!

We stayed at the Marriott World Center in Orlando.  This was one of the pretty views.  They're actually constructing a huge water slide right now, so the hotel is going to be pretty awesome when they're done.

On our first night we went to Bahama Breeze.

Virgin Strawberry Mojito

Onion rings.  The batter had coconut flakes and the sauce was awesome!!!

Salmon and shrimp with sweet potatoes.  So yummy!

Chocolate pineapple upside down cake. And it was a molten chocolate cake too.  Sooooo good!!!  Of course, I had to get ice cream on the side.

I was really impressed with Bahama Breeze.  The food was great, the service was great, and the environment was great!  We left happy and stuffed ;0).

That night the rain began.  We had no idea that tropical storm Andrea was even coming.  Above is a view of part of the hotel and you can see the wet ground.  I really loved this shot.

My hubby took this picture of the storm that was rolling in.  I thought it was a great shot, so I wanted to share.  We were supposed to go to Animal Kingdom that day, but the storm totally ruined that for us.
For lunch on our second day we went to Red Lobster.  Below is my virgin mango berry daiquiri.

Isn't it pretty?  It tasted good too.  My food on the other hand...

I ordered their crunch fried fish sandwich.  It was just so blah.  And look at how big that sandwich is.  How am I supposed to bite into that?
Anyhoo, I made up for it with buying some polish, haha.

My haul from TJ Maxx

My haul from Ross

I was so excited to find these babies!!  I spent less than $4 on each of them.  And that Bonita set was $4.99.  It's my first time seeing the brand and I'm looking forward to giving it a try.
On my third day, I had the awesome opportunity to meet Nory from Fierce Makeup and Nails.  Nory and I have been communicating for over a year, so it was great to finally meet her in person.  We got together at Brio at The Mall at Millenia and had some awesome food and lots of fun with our families.

Clockwise from top left: Nory and I, my crab and shrimp cakes with roasted vegetables,  warm chocolate cake with ice cream, and of course our nails.  Nory was wearing OPI Solitaire.

Nory then took me to Ulta because she knew I would be so excited, which I totally was.  Here was my haul.

I bought way too much polish.  But they were all so pretty!!  And Nory highly recommended the CND Stickey, so I'm looking forward to trying it.
That evening I got the opportunity to meet up with two friends from elementary school who I haven't seen in years.  We went to Maggiano's on International Drive.

My Florida Trip (Pic Heavy)

Natalie, Melinda and I.  I had the parmesan crusted tilapia.  And a pic of our nails ;0).

I'll actually have some swatches coming up soon from Melinda's (middle) new nail polish line coming up soon.  She's a polish addict like me and she's wearing her own polish (the purple with glitter accent) in this pic.  I'm looking forward to sharing them with you all.
We were finally able to visit the Animal Kingdom on Friday when the weather cleared up, even though it was only for a few hours.  Here are a few shots that I really liked from our visit.

A cone for the road

Before we went to the airport, we just had to go to Bahama Breeze again.  That cake was on our minds!!!  One more look for the road.

And my polish held up nicely, just as I expected.  I love Salon Effects for trips.

And I'm back!!  I hope you enjoyed reading this post.  Thanks so much if you made it all the way to the end!
Have a great weekend!
