Yankee Candle Cherries on Snow, Large Jar, £19.99
I was never much of a candle person until I started my job back in September, where I'm now surrounded by plenty of Yankee Candles. Fast forward to the end of December when our Christmas stock was going for half price and I just knew that it was the time to finally give candles a go. I completely fell in love with the sweet scent of Cherries on Snow which is a gorgeous cherry smell with a hint of almond that I didn't find too sickly and it is a scent that has quickly become one of my favourites. The large jar candles are said to burn for 110-150 hours which I think is great as you do get a hell of a lot of candle for your money (especially at half price!) and after a lot of burning time during stressful essay writing days I'm happy to say that there's still about a third of the candle left in the jar. I've found the Cherries on Snow scent to be great for quickly filling my room with a lovely scent as I'd always worried about scents being too subtle and a bit non-existent really, but there's certainly no problem when this candle is concerned. The only problem I have had has been a bit of tunneling (the candle not burning evenly all the way to the edges) but that has been through my own fault as the candle novice didn't let it burn for long enough. All in all I have definitely been converted to a candle lover and now I always find myself eyeing up (or sniffing) every candle in sight. Are you a fan of candles?
