The zucchini is also referred to as summer squash. It is a delicious and very nutritious vegetable that is a recent addition to my Dad's beloved veg garden. We were lucky enough to have been given some seeds by our neighbors and Dad, as usual, managed to make the seed grow into a wonderful plant that gave us zucchini last year. However, something happened and it died so Dad had to buy some seedlings last month to make sure we could enjoy our new favorite this year too.

We normally cook zucchini into a sabzi (vegetable dish) usually with some potato and we eat it with roti. There are many other dishes that can be made featuring the zucchini and some of them I plan to try out this year once we are able to harvest some.
