My Dad Sexually Abused me When I Was 5 Months Old

I never knew my biological father growing up. To be honest I would be jealous of my friends and families I saw all happy with both parents. The older I got the more I wondered why he was never spoken on and why mom and my family would change the subject.

When I was 14 I asked my mom why I didn’t have a dad. Well what she told me shocked me and sent me into a state of bad depression which with a mixture of other things lead to an overdose.

She said “when you was 7 weeks old your biological father broke both your legs” now that hit me hard but she wasn’t done! “Then when you were 19 weeks old he sexually abused you whilst giving you a bath”.

I couldn’t make a sound I just felt numb. What was I supposed to do with this information? Surely she is just making it up because she isn’t very well. So I rang my Nan and she confirmed it and came round with a folder full of new paper clippings.

They were the clippings of what happened to me that was printed in the news. My family had tried to protect me from this information but prepared for the day I had asked. I wanted to talk to this horrible man to ask him why and what sort of a person could do that to an innocent baby?

None of my family could understand why I wanted to see him and why I wanted to have anything to do with him but it was something I needed to do. I knew it wouldn’t be wise to bring a family member as they all wanted to kill him as they had seen what he had done to me so I decided to take my rest bite mom.

She was more than happy to come with me and be my support. So when I was 18 I told my Nan to arrange it all and to get him to meet me at a town half way for both of us. I finally got to meet the dad I never had.
