Just like the old saying “The son of the shoemaker has no shoes”, so goes the plight of the busy art teacher. I have had a blank wall above my computer for longer than I wish to admit, always thinking I’ll make something special as soon as I have time. Well thankfully, that time is now. In honor of a new movement called Cre8time, Michaels is sponsoring my very own personal art project, one just for me to enjoy. So exciting! After much deliberation, I have decided to make my own Starry Night masterpiece on a large stretched canvas. My goal is to spend at least 30 minutes a day creating this until it is finished. I’ve already started with my first panel, and will update you with my progress. Hey, all I know is that if I can squeeze 30 minutes a day out of my busy schedule, anyone can. More to come...
