India was more expensive than I expected, mainly because of the many instances of price gouging happening in this country. Taj Mahal is a popular tourist destination, so expect an army of touts waiting for you to collect your money. Make sure to bargain hard, otherwise you will be taken advantage of. On the bright side, the people in India are amongst the nicest I have met! Don't hesitate to ask for help from the locals. They will be happy to point you in the right direction!
