Hello all!I have been challenged by Mecca Bingo to come up with my 5 favorite acts who I think should have won Britain's Got Talent, this instantly appealed to me because I hate to admit that I'm actually one of those people who shouts at the TV when I disagree with something, especially when it comes to talent shows! Even back when I was 9 and Will Young won Pop Idol...I cried my little heart out and couldn't believe Gareth Gates didn't win, how could he not with that spiky black hair and cute face (in the eyes of a 9 year old me)..So I've come up with a list of those people who didn't win but thoroughly deserved to and I was shocked they weren't! So here goes..my non winner winners!
Charlotte & JonathanAbsolutely 2 of the most stunningly gorgeous opera voices I think I've ever heard (Andrea bocelli aside), were all guilty of judging books by their covers, I for one was not expecting such an incredible performance, I'm not one to cry over auditions but I welled up in this one, definitely winners in my book!
Connie TalbotOh my cuteness! Possibly the cutest audition ever to hit our screens, off she toddled, onto the big stage, in front of Simon Cowell & the other judges, this adorable 6 year old had the audience gobsmacked! Not only did she have a cheeky little personality and adorable little toothless grin, but as soon as she opened her mouth to sing, it was literally the most beautiful little voices ever, plus she sung possibly the prettiest version of over the rainbow i've ever heard, instantly causing Amabda Holden to turn into a complete blubbering mess and capturing the heart of the nation instantly!
Susan BoyleOk, so she's done blimmin well considering she didn't win. But in my eyes she should've won that series hands down, there was no-one even close to the league she was in, at her first audition she was laughed at by the audience, again another moment of judging a book by its cover, she alliterated to the judges that she wanted to be as big as Elaine Page, there were smirks and sniggers from around the room, and then something magical happened, she opened her mouth and angels came out, she wasn't just singing any old song, but the one and only "I dreamed a dream" pitch perfect, outstandingly delivered and completely mesmerising, in all aspects! A star was born that day and her life had been changed forever!
Jack CarrollProbably one of my favorite comedian acts across the entire series I think, he had such an amazing personality and didn't let his disability bring him down, if you didn't know Jack has Cerebral Palsy and yet doesn't let it stop him from achieving his dream (such an inspiration), and at just 14 years old you can instantly tell he has a huge future ahead of him! His witty jokes and quick remarks instantly grabbed the hearts of the judges and the audience, after replying to one of the judges comments of 'tell me a bit about yourself', with..'I'm a professional gymnast', he was an instant hit and you just knew you were onto something funny and original! His jokes are brilliant and smart & with a mature head on his shoulders too, he is sure to have the future he has always dreamed of, of being a comedian!
Stavros FlatleyMy ultimate guilty pleasure act! When they came out onto the stage back in 2009 we all wondered what on earth they would be doing, a father and son duo who seemed pretty shy at first but as soon as they started their act, the passion they had was clear for all to see! But it was one of those acts where you couldn't guess what they were about to do if you tried, the judges weren't convinced before the audition, nor at the very beginning, but as soon as they started their act, they soon changed their mind, I think what makes the act even more special is the bond they share as father & son, it's so clear just how much they love each other and are so happy to work together for this act. It's fun, it's light hearted and its entertaining! Defintely wish they would've won but from what i've heard of them since, they've been pretty successful :)
Who do you think should've won?
