#music The Horrors - So Now You Know

There's no finer example of a band evolving from a fad to become one of the finest out there than The Horrors. It took me a while to get into their angst/goth/punk debut, but once I got my head around it, I was obsessed. They looked cool and offered something different. Most people laughed them off as some East London hipsters who will be forgotten by album number two.

I remember reading an interview with Faris with Dazed and Confused in 2007 (I think) where he stated that he wanted to be a cult hero rather than enjoy some flash in the pan success story. I kind of smirked at this. Well, he has gone and done it. The Horrors have become a band with a dedicated fan-base who do things on their own terms, progression is obvious as they have mastered their own sound and So Now You Know, from the forthcoming album, Luminous is quite a gem.
