#music Jenny Lewis - Just One Of The Guys

I was first introduced to Jenny Lewis through Conor Oberst who had her band Rilo Kiley on his Team Love label. I adored them and was gutted when they split in 2011 but before the band Jenny, born in Vegas was a child star in LA as an actress but since Rilo Kiley music has been the path she chose.

She has released two solo records and another project, Jenny and Johnny with boyfriend Jonathan Rice brought a record too but she is back flying solo with album number three, The Voyager, out next week and she has used her Hollywood roots to get some A-listers involved in the video for lead single, Just One Of The Guys which has the country pop sound which Jenny has always delivered flawlessly. I knew the album was due next week so I was searching for details this morning and found the video, then it was mentioned in the Metro this morning and kept popping up in my social media feed all day, if the singer was looking for a way into the mainstream then she has executed it with perfection. The Beck produced track sees Anne Hathaway and Kristen Stewart play her backing band.
