When it comes to 'artists of the year' it will take something special to top Ed Sheeran's 2014. The singer-songwriter celebrated his second album, X topping the charts for the eighth consecutive week and he's spent the summer wooing festival crowds around the world.

Sheeran's hip hop roots are evident on this record, produced by Rick Rubin and he has received quite the compliment with Rick 'The Boss' Ross remixing the already brilliant Don't as he adds a verse to the heartbroken tune with his rusty voice.
