Mushrooms and Snails

By Kathybarbro @KathyBarbro
Mushrooms and Snails This is my watercolor project for tomorrow afternoon. I love to find simple shapes that can easily look dimensional, as in this underside view of a mushroom.
1. Start by drawing the center stem, then the “seed” oval, then the overall top shape around it. Draw more small mushrooms as space allows, and add the snail on top.
2. Trace all the outside lines with a black permanent marker.
3. Add decoration crayon lines and spots on the mushroom tops and snail shell.
4. Paint all with watercolor paints. My sample was painted with Blue, Yellow Orange, and Green Liquid Watercolor Paints from Dick Blick.
