Just like they promised, yesterday in New York City, Motorola hosted a special event where they finally presented their first flagship since being taken over by Google. Moto X is the first smartphone entirely developed by Google and assembled in the USA.  It has a  4.7-inch AMOLED Gorilla Glass display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. With nicely rounded edges and soft-touch finish, this smartphone feels quite grippy, yet very smooth to the touch.  It is equipped with a camera sensor of 10 mega-pixels that supports the ClearPixel Technology, while at front there’s a  2 mega-pixel camera for video-chat.

Moto X features a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset with dual 1.7 GHz Krait cores, Adreno 320 GPU. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and internal storage of 16 GB or 32 GB, depending on the version, but it lacks a microSD card slot. Underneath its shell, there is a 2200 mAh battery, that will allow you up to 13 hours of 3G talk time and 24 hours of mixed usage endurance, according to the manufacturer. Even though Google has recently presented the latest version of Android Jelly Bean, 4.3, Moto X will be offered with Android 4.2.2, but Motorola added several fresh features, such as Active Display, which use the AMOLED screen to bring a snippet of information, like the time, messages and voice-mail, on a blank black screen of the phone.

Moto X- Fully Customizable Smartphone

Perhaps one of the greatest standout features of Moto X is the fact that this smartphone is fully-customizable, which brings a completely new smartphone experience, making it truly unique on the market. A wide spectrum of colors, for the back and front, plus accent colors for buttons and camera ring- 504 color options altogether! There is also an option of adding a name or short message on the back of the device. The combinations are endless.

The Motorola Moto X will be available on the five largest carriers in the USA by the end of the August.
