Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!
Today I have some Morgan Taylor fall 2013 polishes to share with you.
Let's get right to it!
Well Spent
Well Spent is a deep burgundy creme with a good formula. It applies really well and dries quickly. I used two coats with no top coat.
Take The Lead
Take the Lead is a wine creme. The formula is pretty good, but slightly runny as you can see on my middle finger. It was difficult to clean around the cuticle there. This dried very quickly as well. Here I used two coats with no top coat.
On The Fringe
On The Fringe is a taupe creme with a great formula. It applied with ease and was opaque in two coats. Here I used Morgan Taylor Stick With It base coat and Make It Last top coat. These pictures were taken the morning after I did my nails (I did them at night). You can see that there is a gloss, but not as shiny as Seche Vite.
All The Right Moves
All The Right Moves has a dark base (not sure if it's black or purple) and is packed with lots of purple and pink microglitter. It applies okay, but is slightly patchy on the first coat. I used three coats for full opacity and no base or top coat.
I Make The Money Honey
I Make The Money Honey (love the name, though it doesn't match the polish) is a very dark gray creme, which looks black at times. It applies well and is opaque in two coats. It dries quickly and to such a great shine. So much so that I had to take tons of pictures because I kept getting all these crazy reflections on the nail. I still wasn't completely happy with these, but they work. I used two coats with no base or top coat.
I decided to do a mani with I Make The Money Honey and All The Right Moves.
Don't they make a pretty combo? I used Morgan Taylor Stick With It (base coat) and Make It Last (top coat) for this mani, which you can see below. My mani started to chip the next day, but in all fairness I was using my hands A LOT (washing dishes, cleaning, etc.). When I used the base and top coat with On The Fringe, I started to see small chips in two days.
Overall, I like these polishes. They're definitely great fall colors. My favorites are On The Fringe, All The Right Moves, and I Make The Money Honey. What are your favorites?
