To eat lentils and pulses in meal is easy way to get protein in diet. Sometimes we have to do struggle with kids to give them greens and lentils. Now time to manage meals related problems with hot bowl of soup or shorba. Even you can serve this shorba with rice or toast as comforting meal.
To make this recipe, just cook all ingredients together in cooker and blend it and serve hot. Its a great option for upcoming winter season. Moong Dal shorba is very flavorful and lip-smacking side dish.
Moong Dal Shorba | Moong Dal Soup Recipe

Ingredients
1 Cup Yellow Split Gram
1/2 Cup Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
1/2 Cup Onion, Finely Chopped
2 Green Chilies, Chopped
1 Tsp. Ginger, Grated
1/2 Tsp. Turmeric Powder
Red Chili Powder to Taste
1/2 Tsp. Garam Masala
Salt to Taste
2 Tbsps. Butter
1 Tbsp. Garlic, Chopped
Instructions
Wash and soak the dal in water for 30 Minutes. Chop the tomatoes, onion, green chilies and keep aside.
Combine all ingredients together in pressure cooker with 3 Cups of water. Cover the cooker with lid and cook the dal till to 4-5 whistles.
Release the whistle and blend it to get little smooth texture. Add extra 1/2 Cup of water according to consistency, add more if needed. Mix well.
Now heat the butter in separate pan and add chopped garlic and roast it in butter. Add dal mixture and cook the dal on low flame for 5-8 Minutes.
Sprinkle little black pepper and serve hot with garlic bread.
