I feel like I should introduce myself again considering how long I have been away from the blog. Sorry that I haven’t been replying to your comments or visiting your blogs as often as I would have liked. It has been some very busy weeks ever since I went to Sweden to visit the Formex design expo and joining my sisters hen do. My parents have moved to England and I have done some DIY in our apartment. It will all be coming up here on the blog bit by bit.
Formex was great fun! I spent Saturday there mostly talking to our suppliers and looking at the news from their collections. I am lucky to work with designers and suppliers who are all generous, fun and lovely people. The news will be here on the blog soon so you can have a preview of what is to come in our shop.
At the main entrance at the show there was an exhibition dedicated to Finish designers as Helsinki is the World Design Capital of 2012. I thought the little pendants with the Moomins (characters from a Finish kids tv programme) on them were cute. I don’t know if people in the UK have seen these cartoons, I have to say when I was little I found they slightly creepy, but I like the look of them. If you think they are cute as well you might want to know that Fab UK has some cute enamel wear with the Moomins on offer this week.
I am planning to update the blog more regularly as my summer hibernation is now over :)
