MONDAY STYLE #DressyShorts

Happy Monday lovelies ! I am a sucker for playing dress up, and nothing makes dressing up easier than a well-fitted blazer. Just throw on a form-fitting blazer over anything and you are dressed-to-the-nines in no time, and if the blazer is a white one, then there is no looking back!!! I have had this blazer for a few years now, which kind of got lost in transitioning from summer to winter last year. I knew I had a three white blazers until last summer: one of which was given away to goodwill, one's still hanging in my closet and the third one (wearing today), was salvaged recently from the storage. I am glad I found it and a little after a quick steam drying, it was able to make a reappearance on the blog after it's last spotting here.  Today I paired the blazer with these fun shorts from Loft, which again have been a part of my closet for a couple years now. I am telling you all: shopping your own closet occasionally, will never cease to amaze you. You'll be surprised at what your closet has to offer, and these shorts definitely are my hottest closet-treasure-find this year.  I was feeling a little extra dressy, hence the metallic peplum top. The pictures don't do justice to the top, which has a subtle metallic sheen to it. Frills and peplum weren't my cup of tea, as I always thought peplums just highlighted my not-so-slim middle part, but this top was exceptional. It was the perfect length and the peplum was placed in way to hide all that belly-flab. I don't see any today and hope you don't too.....LOL ! Just another piece of information: this top was was bought, back in 2011 and ever since then it has been the star of my closet only, in explicit words:  " I am wearing it for the first time..... " !
Putting it all together: everything in my outfit today has been in my closet for sometime and I had fun putting together this dressy look, with pieces from the past.
