Oh don't get me wrong chicas: this one's no sales gimmick.....It's just a new post giving you ideas to style one basic shirt, two different ways- one the Western way and the other the Indian way.
Believe it or not: nothing can be more versatile than a basic button front shirt. Be it in any color,  wear it with a pair of pants, jeans, skirt or even under a dress- the styling options just keep hiking. For instance this boyfriend button front from Gap, a must-have this spring, is just what I needed for today's post. With it's curved hem, wearing it tucked with a lehnga/maxi skirt or untucked over a pair of printed pants, just became effortless.
MONDAY MOOD- TWO FOR ONE
One thing I always regret about leaving India, other than feeling homesick, is not being able to wear my Indian clothing as often. It's a whole different story that I seldom spare any occasion of wearing Indian clothing, but integrating those Indian pieces in a more functional, every day looks always stayed a sartorial priority. I did some brainstorming and a couple of trials later, I was able to figure out a more appropriate way of doing so and curating fusion looks appeared to be the answer. So here I am, giving to you my first fusion look wearing my new custom-made lehnga (maxi) skirt with the must-have boyfriend shirt. For a starter look: I kept it rather simple with just the India-inspired bracelet and a sparkly pair of sandals.

For toy second look,  I simply pulled out a pair of printed pants from my closet, topped it with a white vest, another must-have this spring, and finished off with a pair of neutral sandals. Despite all the above, something felt amiss and hence the printed scarf,  that just adds that punch of color but without being too overbearing.
