Can't believe how fast weekend flew by. It came at a turtle's pace but whizzed by at a hare's pace. No complaint though, coz it was a good weekend. But, this Monday got me pondering over some random thoughts and a few random things that happened past week or is happening right now.
1) How beautiful is fall around the Maryland area! The green leaves now turned yellow-orange, nature's own red carpet made of leaves, there is so much to thank mother nature for. Follow along on my insta-stories for some weekend fall-foliage shenanigans.
2) Halloween is on Tuesday and just like every year, this year too, I have no clue what would my costume be. I am those procrastinators type, who leaves everything for last minute and then things just falls in place and for the best. But good news for the lil treaters: I bought the halloween candies last week !!!
3) Looking at some of my recent pictures and the noticeable weight gain in some places, thanks to all the mom-cooked food from summer, I was wondering if there was anything like an overnight weight loss formula ??? Do you guys know of any ??? Well, I have been a good kid this year, may be I could ask Santa to get me an overnight weight loss formula for my Christmas gift this year.
4) Ribhya has been after our lives for a dog. We have been debating to get her one for her birthday, but the big question is " which one to get ?" and " who is going to walk the dog and clean up after him/her ?" Well, Mommy is pulling back on this one......So, if you were to deny your kid a pet, what is the politest way you would do it in ???
5) After months of web-surfing, store-browsing and cat-fighting with hubby, I finally know what furniture style would our loving-room house. Hubby and I, both agreed on a modern set up for the living room and I am really thrilled about the pieces, the velvet sofa and the side table precisely, that arrived last week. On a side note, the side table has already been converted into a bar cart ( photo here ) and was featured on West Elm's Instagram. Thanks @westelm for the shoutout, here .
6) It was hard for me to accept my first gray hair. Yes, folks the reality is that this beaaatch is getting old. I had never expected my first gray strand to show up this early, but the truth is on my face, rather on my head. I am letting this sink in more as a sign of wisdom than aging.....What say ??
7) Last but not the least, hubby is turning 40 this December, and his party planning is underway. I wanted to keep it a surprise, but I am a true women, nothing stays in my stomach...... I spilled all the beans, on our way back from the weekend camping trip.
