There is nothing quiet fascinating like a black and white outfit. It is that classic pairing that one could never wrong with and you are guaranteed to have these colors in your closet like right now. Add a statement blazer/coat I am a sucker for coats and would wear one over anything, everything. Since white and black are considered neutrals, any color would look great with this combination. Red, yellow, pink and even green for that matter would be a total eye-pleaser. I had always wanted to wear a strong military green coat over a pair of black jeans and my decision today wasn't wrong.
Give your favorite bag a spin If you were a bag-lover like me, you would have no trouble adding visual interest to your classic look with a fancy-shmancy handbag. The metalhardwareand gold logo detail on my bag takes this simple black and white outfit up a notch.
Wear a pair of black pumps/booties Now you would ask my "why a pair of black heels?" Well, think longer leaner legs. Black jeans, as in my case, is already slimming but when you team it with a pair of black killer heels, the look is tall and sexy. If I was skipping the coat overall and going for a more summer outfit, I would have worn a pair of brightly colored footwear for that pop, for instance this. Stack your accessories Having a plain canvas gives you the freedom to add some visual appeal with your accessories. Think color and texture and play up your accessories. I wouldn't do colored accessories but gold, black, white and may be even turquoise would be options that I would consider. I enjoyed layering my necklaces and the gold and black made an interesting mix that rocked this otherwise plain outfit.
Don a red pout Cliched, but white and black outfit needs a dash of red and I am adding red to my outfit with that red lipstick. Nothing looks more feminine than a ravishing red lippie and when the outfit is plain black and white- red is much-deserved!
