Abstract art painting process
This new modern abstract painting belongs to my abstract art collection called Ties, where the focus is tension. I name it Tie #7
Tie #7. Acrylic on wood. 46x55 cms.
In the following abstract art pictures, I will show you the process I have followed in order to make it.
The idea behing this abstract painting was to see how volume and depth would help highlighting tension if I worked using the back of the wood canvas instead of the front.
The first thing I did was to tie the strings around the frame. Don´t you think the result is an abstract painting itself?. The process of tying is quite tiring. I do not finish it until I like the final composition and the strings are very strained.
Then I put some black acrylic on the strings and some white at the bottom.
I liked the result and kept adding more black on the strings while letting the acrylic accidentally drip just when it happened, and trying to emphasize the sensation of flow on the sides.
I don´t know exactly why, but I did not like the final result, so I began to withdraw some of the paint and stains from the bottom, and started the whole process again until the result pleased me.
Once this abstract painting was about to be finished, I decided to put some red acrylic on the knots, because it gives more body to them and to the whole modern abstract painting. It also emphasizes tension which is my focus on these abstrac art series, and provokes contrasts with the sades that accidentally (or not?¿¿?) appear. Theses sades, by the way, also add another tone to the whole abstract painting, and give it a magical and intriguing atmosphere.

Arte abstracto: proceso de elaboración de una pintura
Esta nueva pintura abstracta moderna pertenece a mi colección de arte abstracto llamado Ties (ataduras), donde el foco es la tensión. La llamó Tie # 7
En las siguientes fotos de arte abstracto, te mostraré el proceso que he seguido para hacerlo.
La idea en esta pintura abstracta era ver cómo el volumen y la profundidad me ayudaban a destacar la tensión. Por eso decidí trabajar por la parte de atrás de la madera en lugar de la parte delantera.
Lo primero que hice fue atar las cuerdas alrededor del marco. ¿No te parece que el resultado es una pintura abstracta en sí misma?. El proceso es bastante agotador. No lo termino hasta que me gusta la composición final y las cuerdas están tensas.
Después, puse un poco de acrílico negro sobre las cuerdas y blanco en el fondo.
Me gustó el resultado y seguí agregando más negro en las cuerdas dejando que el acrílico goteara accidentalmente, y tratando de enfatizar la sensación de fluidez en los laterales. ¿Puedes ver como la pintura se cuela entre las cuerdas como si quisiera escapar de la tensión?
No sé exactamente por qué, pero no me gustó el resultado final, así que retiré parte de la pintura y manchas del fondo, y comencé el proceso de nuevo hasta que el resultado me gustó.
Una vez que esta pintura abstracta estaba a punto de estar acabada, decidí añadir un poco de acrílico rojo sangre en los nudos. Pienso que además de dar más cuerpo y potencia, también me ayuda a destacar la tensión, que es mi enfoque en toda esta serie de pinturas abstractas. Además, contrasta muy fuerte con las sombras que aparecen por todo el cuadro, las cúales a su vez le dan un toque mágico de intriga a esta obra.
