I hope the weekend is coming along great for you guys and now especially when Christmas and New Year is just around the corner. I hate cleaning and dusting the house it is so tiresome and stressful but then we have to do it before festivals. Anyhow love the month of December and gives everyone a reason to do some shopping and for us women make up and clothes shopping isn't it? .. Lol..My today's review is a blue eye liner pencil from Miss Claire called Devine Blue. Sounds similar to the Jordana one right?? Well let us see how good it is...
Price: Rs.50/-
Quantity: 1.8 g
The eye liner is a normal pencil eye liner - the most basic one. It does need to be sharpened. It has a wooden body and a silver cap which is decent but sometimes may tend to come off - never happened to me though. Hence you can travel with it. The color of the eye liner almost matches to the actual color/shade. Hence it is easy to locate if you have many shades already.
The shade is a mixture of midnight blue and inky blue. This shade has similarities to the one I reviewed from Jordana cosmetics but not exactly the same. The pencil is creamy enough to glide on the eye lids but if unused turns dry and needs to be sharpened which leads to a mess and product wastage. The pencil is pigmented enough but you need to go over it more than once to achieve the desired look. The shade will last on the eyes as long as you do not touch it. Also after a while it does smudge from the sides which is a pain. I wish that it was a bit matte and would stay longer but considering the price I understand why. Having said the above it is a decent pencil to try for 50 bucks.
The Good:
Nice inky midnight blue color.Decently pigmented.
Inexpensive.
Color of the shade matches the pencil.
Shelf life is mentioned on the pencil.
The not so Good:
Unavailability is an issue for many as it is not easily available.Smudging part.
No ingredients mentioned.
Sharpening leads to product wastage.
Rating:2.5/5
For 50 bucks this is what you get. There are tonnes of shades available. For the price you should definitely try one shade to see how it may work for you.
