Miracles in a basket

Sold in a penny store

A dime for a dozen

What will you use them for?

My todays are filled with tears

Sad looks on all I love

To have them watch me die

When I only want to give them love

Don’t let the demon catch me

Pinch me before it is too late

He wants to take me away

He determines my fate

I  remember the laughter of yesterday

The fun we always had

The memories we created

But now todays are always sad

This was not how it was supposed to be

This was not what I intended

A monster grows inside me

It took over, I am apprehended

Sunshine and later

Bring back my yesterdays

Cut out the sickness

Take it all away

Is this all a dream

A terrible nightmare?

Please wake me up right now

I cry out in despair

When we talk

I hear it in your voice

When you look at me

I see it in your eyes

I feel it in your touch

I see the tears you try to hide

I pray for our yesterday to return

I pray the monster will burn

I pray I shall be healed

I pray I will return
