I was waiting for a sunny day , because I wanted to go out and to have a nice walk on Saturday morning I wanted to share with you a very nice event that was in Milan last week end , titled City Piano. There was music all around the city!
Some pianos in different locations - tram, park, public housing- for 50 hours
Ben 50 ore di musica non stop da pianoforte in varie parti della città, dai parchi ai tram, ai cortili popolari.

Pianisti professionisti erano ovunque in città a varie ore con le loro magnifiche performance.

Ma facciamo un salto indietro.
Some professional pianists were anywhere around the city with their gorgeous performances. But let's start from the beginning.
I'm glad when this kind of events are organized.
In such agressive world I think we all need a bit of music, relaxation and beauty around us .
We could feel better and we would not waist our time in some conflicts.
In any case we had to go there! A few weeks ago my father -who often goes in the public libraries (as I do- the public libraries have a special charm even on me) - has found a brochure about a traveling event that would has been in Milan.
The areas involved would have been many, and so the artists.
For an entire weekend from morning to night, the pianos music would have been listenable all over. Could we miss?
Qualche settimana fa mio padre, accanito frequentatore delle biblioteche comunali ( che hanno un fascino particolare anche su di me), ha trovato una brochure su un evento itinerante che si sarebbe svolto a Milano.
Le zone interessate sarebbero state tantissime, e così gli artisti coinvolti.
Per un intero week end dalla mattina alla sera la musica da pianoforte sarebbe stata ascoltabile gratuitamente.
Potevamo mancare?
Un'iniziativa intelligente!
Sono contenta quando organizzano queste manifestazioni.
In questo mondo così aggressivo, penso che abbiamo tutti un po' bisogno di relax, bellezza. Staremmo tutti meglio se ne usufruissimo di più invece di perdere energie inutili dietro a conflitti.
This park is small and it has - as the background - a magnificent historic building.
Here the pianists were playing the classical pianos, while the audience was kidnapped by the music, sitting on the grass.
Essendo così tante le iniziative bisognava fare una scelta e la mia scelta è stata... parco il sabato mattina.
Lo so , lo so è scontata visto che appena posso vado a camminare al parco ma che ci volete fare?
Being so many the initiatives, we needed to make a choice where to go. My choice was ... the park on Saturday morning. You are not amazed by my choise because I'm used to walking to the park Saturday morning.

Sta volta sono stata però ai Giardini di Porta Venezia che si trovano sempre in centro città.
In giro per il parco si muovevano dei musicisti con una struttura ruote che creava un pianoforte portatile.
Che bello stare fermi sulle panchine sotto gli alberi che fanno ombra lasciando filtrare qualche raggio di caldo sole !
Anyway I have chosen Porta Venezia park - that is always located in the city center.
The musicians -with wheeled devices - strolled around the park, playing the piano.
Brilliant!
It is so nice to sit on the benches under the trees.
Seconda tappa: il parco del Gam giusto di fronte a parco Venezia.
There I realized that I also want to do what I like, I want to follow my passions. I have made to myself a promise - to follow always my passions . I want to keep this promise !
Il parco è piccolo, ma con lo sfondo di questo magnifico palazzo storico! Qui i pianisti facevano vere e proprie esibizioni su pianoforti classici mentre il pubblico era rapito seduto sull'erba.
The second show I attended was more jazz oriented (it was my favorite, of course).
Al Gam, di per se già una location da urlo per la bellezza dell'architettura del palazzo e il parco, c'erano dieci pianoforti ad uso pubblico.
Ovviamente c'è chi si divertiva a strimpellare, giusto per provare , come forse avremmo fatto tutti
There were ten pianos for public use at Gam - that is a terrific location for the beauty of the architecture of the building and the park. Obviously there are those who liked to strum - just to try- perhaps as we all did.
Ad un certo punto dei suoni più strutturati hanno captato la mia attenzione?
Un nuovo spettacolo? No.
Una persona seduta a uno di questi dieci pianoforti, senza spartito davanti, si stava dilettando a suonare hotel California al pianoforte con una maestria che non poteva passare inosservata. Quanto era bravo!
Oltre ad essere stato piacevole, ho riflettuto prendendo una decisione

Mentre ero seduta sull'erba a guardare incantata la mani di uno dei pianisti, che scivolavano sulla tastiera, ho percepito quanta passione stava mettendo in quello che faceva.
While I was sitting on the grass and I was observing enchanted the hands of one of the pianists , I noticed how much passion he was feeling in what he was doing
In quel momento ho capito che anche io voglio poter fare ciò che mi piace , voglio poter seguire le mie passioni. Mi sono fatta la promessa di provarci: voglio mantenerla!
