Yesterday I posted the news of Raf Simons' departure from Jil Sander and Jil Sanders' imminent return (read it here) but before any of that was to happen, Simons had to present to us his final collection for the brand today in Milan and boy did he go out with a bang. The A/W12 collection featured soft pastel shades of white and pink on dresses, skirts and the most beautiful collection of wool-blend coats. Pops of reds and a finale of black looks added to the stunning collection which was presented on a runway of red and pink flowers arrangements, setting the stage for Raf's final bow, his face streaked with tears after his seven successful years at the fashion house.
