Microsoft Surface will have to do something out of this world to be able to compete with Android and iPad, It is a tough time for Microsoft and is off-Ideas in terms of strategies. As Apple does with tablets, and as Google goes with Mobile Handsets. Microsoft only target was to put pressure on both Giants and that too in which both are good at.

Smart keyboard on Dock lets Surface double as a laptop - that will cost an extra bucks, only if you have a 64GB version, which has it in-bundle.

Main disadvantages:

· Windows RT works with Windows Store apps only

· Heavier than most 10-inch tablets

· Quite awkward to use in portrait

· Proprietary connector for charging

· Touch Cover build materials are extremely poor and the keyboard does not make for a good typing experience
