Here it is – my finished repurposing of an old cigar box for my Michaels RE-Love it Challenge. My favorite thing is making some rather generic looking products (like foam letters) look artsy, without spending a lot of money.
To summarize the steps, I stuck peel off foam letters on a box and painted it white. I added a layer of acrylic black, then dark blue, then light blue paint, always giving it time to dry in between. The last addition was purple glitter paint that is pictured on THIS post. Everything looks better with glitter on top. Thank you Michaels, for sponsoring this project and for your message on the importance of recycling.
