According to reports in the Kyiv Post and Segodnya newspapers, fare increases for Kyiv’s Metro (subway) are imminent. Although the amount of the fare increase has not been announced, Metro officials say the increases will help offset costs in further development of the Kyiv Metro, specifically the construction of the Vynohradar residential line which has been estimated will cost over Hr 1 billion.
