The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that it has received myriad complaints against MQM chief Altaf Hussain following his statement regarding segregating Karachi from Pakistan.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said that complaints against Altaf Hussain are still being made but currently there is no investigation.
Earlier Adam Thomson, the Britain’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, said the country should take serious notice of MQM chief’s statement, adding the laws against spreading abhorrence and torture are strict in Britain and someone who proves guilty could be sent behind the bars.
“Separate Karachi if you dislike its people’s mandate,” MQM chief said on May 12 in a reply to allegations pertaining to poll rigging being leveled against MQM in Karachi.
“If you didn’t stop playing with fire, it would burn down the entire Pakistan,” he added.
