I must confess, I’m in a mess
I’ve been consumed by sin
The narrow way is now quite wide
A ditch I’ve fallen in
It wasn’t very difficult
Was easy as can be
I’ve got an itch that’s bothersome
It is affecting me.
The Lord is so in love with me
He will not let me go
I know that I am hurting Him
I’m causing Him such woe
Then finally I realise
That sin is such a bore
I’d rather dwell in Fathers’ arms
His absence is a chore.
