Brooklyn-based artist MeLo-X is showing us he’s not only an impressive producer – having a solid portfolio of tracks with names like Drake, Maxwell, and Azealia Banks - and now he’s showing off some tight lyricism. This is the first single from his upcoming EP, Titled GOD:LoFi. Nothing like an MC who speaks honest truth on a track, rather than boast frivolously. He recalls his life experiences and the intricacy in the daily grind. As always, the production is quality. The beat sets an old-school hip hop vibe with a blend of spacey synths and mellow chords.
