The parliamentary leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi, is the frontrunner for Governor slot in the province.
The credible sources have told Paknews that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif has given the green signal to make Mehtab Abbasi the new governor and the consensus has been developed with the PML-N leaders.
Amir Maqam and Iqbal Zafar Jahgra were also in contention for the post. However, Nawaz Sharif expressed the willingness to give the responsibility to Mehtab Abbasi, who has also served as the chief minister of province.
