Maybelline Gel Eyeliner- Brown and Gold Review
Hello everyone, today I will be reviewing Maybelline gel eyeliner in the shade “brown and gold”. I was very impressed with the black gel eyeliner, so I wanted to try other shades too. When I went to the Maybelline store, I just checked out other shades and bought this one. I’m using it since two months now and today I will be reviewing it for you all.

My take on Maybelline gel eyeliner- brown and gold:
Maybelline gel eyeliner comes in small glass pot with a silver aluminum cap on top. The packaging is classy and sturdy at the same time. I have dropped it 2-3 times but the pot is still surviving. It comes with complimentary brush applicator which is great as you need not purchase a separate one. The brush has a plastic cap on top which prevents dust and you can easily carry it while traveling.
The bristles of the brush are soft and application becomes so much easier with it. It doesn’t hurt lids and picks a right amount of eyeliner. I have washed it zillion times and never experienced shedding. I’m glad that Maybelline has added a brush applicator in the packaging and that too a good-quality brush.
The swirl gel eyeliner has two shades in it, golden and brown. You can use each shade separately or you can swirl the brush in both the shades to get different look. I didn’t want to spoil the look of the gel eyeliner but I didn’t have any other choice. Once you start using the liner, both the shades get mixed into each other. The pigmentation of the brown gel eyeliner is very good and one single swipe on eyes is perfect for daily use. The golden shade is less pigmented and I wish it was more pigmented like the brown one. When combination of both the shades is applied it looks awesome and quite different.
The texture of the gel eyeliner is creamy which spreads easily on lids without tugging them. The texture is similar to the black gel eyeliner, thick yet creamy. The finish is matte and thus it looks very natural. After application, it dries quickly and you don’t have to wait long. I have used it on my waterline too and haven’t experienced any kind of stinging or irritation yet. So, it’s safe to use on waterline as well. The formula is smudge and water-proof so you can wear it easily during summers and monsoons. The staying power is also impressive, it stays on my eyelids till I don’t remove it myself using an eye-makeup remover.

- I wish the golden shade was a bit more pigmented

I love this gel eyeliner to the core. The packaging, the shade, texture, staying power and the finish…. Everything is just amazing. I would highly recommend it to all girls.
