My experience with Maybelline Color Show lipsticks review
Packaging:Nothing to talk much about packaging as it is very simple and ordinary. The lipstick comes in a glossy black plastic tube. The range has been divided into four categories pink, red, mauve and brown. All the tubes have the rim of colour in the middle of them which helps to categories the lipstick. It also has the shade name and colour mentioned at the bottom of the tube.
Texture:The texture is really creamy and moisturising. My lips are extremely dry but these lipstick moisturise them so well and I don't feel like applying lip balm underneath them. They glide on lips like a dream and does not feel heavy at all. These lipstick are not completely matt but are little glossy. Still being glossy these lipsticks are not sticky and are very light weight, they don't feel heavy even after layering them few times.
Staying power:These lipsticks have a decent staying power, they stayed on my lips for about 4 to 5 hours. In between these hours I had dinner and some snacks as well. After 4 to 5 hours the lipstick starts to fade from the centre and that is the time when reapplication is needed.
Shade:midnight pinkThis one was gifted to me by a cousin cum friend. Midnight magenta is a gorgeous magenta pink shade. The pigmentation of this colour is great, just one swipe and you are good to go. I would say that it is a shade which will suit all the skin tones. Even the darker skin beauty can flaunt this shade easily.
Fall in Mauve:It is the mauve shade with a hint of brown in it. I loved when the SA at the Maybelline counter swiped this on my hand, although I didn't like it on my lips. I am not a big fan of mauve shades and that is a personal preference. I am sure that this brownish mauve shade will be loved by mauve and brown lipsticks lover. Fall in Mauve shade is highly pigmented, one swipe will be enough but colour can be built by more swipes.
Red Rush:This one was also gifted to me:D. Red Rush is a gorgeous bright red shade. Colour payoff of this shade is really good.
What I Like About Maybelline ColorShow Lipsticks:
- soft buttery texture.
- decent staying power.
- range has a wide variety of shade to select.
- does not dry out my lips.
- feels very light on lips even after layering.
- sturdy packaging.
- total value for money.
What I dislike About Maybelline ColorShow Lipsticks:
- These lipsticks are so buttery that they can easily melt in summers.
