I am not a lipstick person at all. I like wearing sheer lip-gloss for everyday look but recently I’ve been trying lipsticks in various shades. I still don’t have the courage to wear bold lip shades so I am experimenting with light, everyday shades that I can wear easily. So, I went to purchase a nude lip shade that fits my budget and ended up purchasing “Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick-Warm Me up”.

My Take on Maybelline color sensational Lipstick-Warm Me Up:

The lipstick comes in silver packaging with dark translucent cap on top. No doubt the packaging is attractive but it tends to develop scratches over time, well I don’t mind it. The shade name and number is mentioned on the bottom of the lipstick. There are many shades available total 68 and it’s easy to identify them due to the packaging. Yes the color sensational lipsticks are divided into different shade-group and all of them have different packaging. The packaging is sturdy and easy to carry while traveling.

Warm Me Up belongs to the nude family of Maybelline color sensational range. The shade is nude pinkish brown shade with warm undertones. The shade is tricky as it can wash out some people. The shade goes with everything and that is why I love it. The shade is nude and can be MLBB (my lips but better) shade for many. It won’t shout out loud on your lips so you can wear it to office. The lipstick has frosty finish which adds sheen to lips. I am not very fan of frosty shades so after applying this shade I rub my fingers on my lips to get rid of the frosty finish.
The texture of the lipstick is creamy and it glides easily on lips. You don’t need to apply lip balm underneath as the texture is quite good. One swipe delivers good color and even hides my pigmented lips. It is a buildable color and you can build the shade accordingly. It’s neither too moisturizing nor very dry; it has the perfect texture I would like to have in my lipsticks. I have dry lips and it take cares of the dryness very well even when I don’t wear lip balm. The shade doesn’t bleed and you can also skip using a lip liner if you want. The lipstick has mild artificial fragrance which according to me is very yummy but for some it can be disturbing. The texture is very light and non-sticky which makes it perfect for summers. Yes, Delhi is burning like hell nowadays and sticky lipsticks are the last thing you would like to have on your lips. It doesn’t turn out to be flaky even after 2-3 hours. It stays for 4 hours and then fades away evenly without flaking.

I am impressed with the packaging, texture, finish and the staying power of the lipstick. But the shade is a bit tricky and can look weird on some people. So, if you like mauve lipstick then you can give it a try else you can choose other shades from the range.
