Joe Quesada unveiled the identity of the new Captain America on The Colbert Report, announced that the man taking up the mantle of Captain America would be Sam Wilson.
Colbert ask if this would be just in the comics or also be shown in the movies and Quesada said “strictly in the comics”
The image they showed, revealed Sam in a Captain America uniform, holding a shield, along with still having his wings. So it’ll be interesting to see if that remains or if he eventually gets rid of the wings.
Of course with Avengers: Age of Ultron coming out next year, it’s a safe bet that Steve Rogers will be slinging the shield again in a year or so.
