March Favourites

By Bambileigh

Can you believe that I have never done a monthly favourites post before?! No, me either. I guess they’re not really my thing, but this month there’s been quite a few bits and bobs that I can’t seem to leave alone! You should all know by now that I’m one for oversharing, so let’s get into it!

Let’s start with smelly stuff. I feel like a bit of a hypocrite saying this as I’m currently burning Strawberry Buttercream by YC, but my favorite candle has been Spiced Pumpkin by Village Candle! I really wish you guys could smell this thing, it’s incredible – even my Mum’s bought one! When I asked for a small version of this for Christmas I hadn’t even smelt it, so I’m glad my boyfriend bought me the biggest one or I’d have burnt through it all by now! Out of all the candles I own this would definitely be the one I’d recommend to everyone!

The next smelly thing is Burberry’s ‘Original’ perfume. Ohhhh I love this. I fell in love with it years ago when I used to go on holiday with my parents; my Mum would always wear this and in the end I’m reminded of being on holiday and sunshine whenever I smell it – so obviously I had to get myself a bottle! It’s quite strong so you only need a few sprays and you’re good to go! If you get the chance to give this a whiff I’d definitely go for it.
On the Burberry site they describe it as “A fruity fragrance with top notes of blackcurrant and fresh green apple, combined with heart notes of cedar wood, jasmine, moss and sandalwood, the fragrance has a rich and sensual tone, musk and vanilla smooth the scent for a gentle warmth”… so in other words; “I’M YUMMY BUY ME”.

Do you remember Kevin? Well, meet his bunny friend – Colin. I don’t know why I’m so into these novetly cacti and I don’t know why I give everything names, but I do and it’s just something we’re going to have to deal with. Look at his little burlap ears though! Adorable. I’ve now made a promise to myself that whenever Tesco have a new novelty cactus in stock I will treat myself to him/her. It’s the little things, right?

One of my service users recently terminated her contract, which obviously means that I will no longer be going to her. I’d been going four hours a week for quite some time, and over that time we’d become quite close. On my last call there the other day she suprised me with these little gifts and a card to say thank you for everything I’ve done for her – how sweet is that! She knows I love owls so I thought it was really thoughtful that she’d not only gone to the effort to get me something but she’d actually thought about it too!

My skin threw a huge tantrum a few weeks ago so I stepped away from makeup a little and went bare faced for a while. It’s cleared up a little now but I’m so used to seeing myself barefaced I don’t want to put too much on! So I’ve put the eyeliner and red lipstick away for a little while and instead have just been using a little concealer and powder with a few coats of mascara, blushed and this lipstick! It’s by Avon and is called ‘Rose Ribbons’ – I think it’s really pretty and it’s certainly less hassle than red!

I probably won’t do monthly favourites as a regular thing, I’ll only do them every now and then like I do with the eBay watch list posts. I think we should all take a moment to appreciate how cute Colin is!

What have you been into this month? I’d love to know so either tell me in the comments or feel free to link your favourites post so we can all go and have a peek!

Oh, I forgot coffee! I’ve been loving coffee too. Lots and lots of black coffee.
