Malala Yousafzai sent to United Kingdom for further treatment

Malala Yusufzaihas been sent to United Kingdom for further treatment following the decision of board of doctors treating her at Combined Military Hospital Rawalpindi, Director General Inter Services Public Relations said in a statement on Monday.

According to ISPR, decision to evacuate Malala Yousafzai abroad was made with the consent of her family members adding she need prolonged care to fully recover physically and psychologically.

The statement further said that government of Pakistan will bear the all expense for her treatment.

An Air-ambulance of Arab Emirates from United Arab Emirates (UAE) was ready to fly out the young child activist, who was shot in head and neck by Taliban in an assassination attempt in Mingora on Tuesday, for further medical treatment.

Yesterday, Jamil Ahmed Khan, Pakistan’s envoy to UAE told media that Malala Yousafzai will be evacuated to Dubai for further treatment.

Last night the malala Yousafzai was taken off the ventilator for some time and she breathed on her own.

According to hospital sources, the condition of Malala Yousafzai was improving steadily in Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC), a health unit of CMH Rawalpindi, but her persisting unconsciousness was the cause of concern.

Malala Yousafzai, who earned the global eminence for her work to promote the schooling of girls in her hometown Swat during the Taliban oppression in the Valley three years ago, was on her way from her school in Mingroa when breaded men stopped her bus and shot her and two other girls.

Last Friday, people across the country observed a day of prayer for the recovery of the innocent girl.
