MAKING MERRY- #MixingPrints

By Saumya Shiohare @myriadmusings1
Happy Monday lovelies!

If you follow my blog, you would know by now that this chica has a passion for print-mixing. Over these years I have become versed in pairing prints together. Well, there is no rocket-science behind it, just some sartorial experimenting and lots of confidence. The rule of thumb is to take baby-steps and have a visual balance in the print sizes: keep one print large and the other relatively small. Don't go overboard with the colors, stick to either one color family or two complimentary colors at the max. Go with minimal makeup and accessories, you want your clothes to be the focal point. I went with a pair of bold chandeliers: one that pulls color from the outfit and looks cohesive despite. I have the rest of mine balanced with bigger polka dots on the bottom and smaller checks on the top.

I wore this outfit to the #bloggerscene party last week. It was a rooftop poolside party, no short of fashion and fun. A blogger-studded evening, with a great panel of influential bloggers for the Q&A session, it is the must-attend blogger party of the year. Thanks to South Moon Under for being the official sponsor of this stylish evening.

Thanks to Kamana from Social and Style for the beautiful pics.
