Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood resigns from PML-F
Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood, who is set to replace Latif Khosa as Governor Punjab, tendered his resignation from the membership of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) on Friday.
According to PML-F General Secretary Imtiaz Sheikh, Pir Pagara took the resignation from Mehmood, a member of the Punjab Assembly from PP-292, Rahim Yar Khan.
Imtiaz Sheikh said the chose to become governor is Mehmood’s his own decision and the party will clear its stance in a press conference later today.
Sources said that Mehmood will take oath as Punjab Governor on Saturday.
Mehmood is the cousin of former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani and Tehreek e insaf’s leader Jahangir Khan Tareen is his brother-in-law.
