Make-up 101: How to Shape Your Brows

By Leicarballo @leicarballo
Brows are often neglected but these are actually the one feature that can make or break your look. It is actually the first thing they would notice on your face, even unintentionally. Hence, keeping a well groomed brow can frame your face and help bring focus to the windows of your soul, i.e. your eyes.
Even if you do not put on make-up on  a regular basis, maintaining a well-kept and shaped brow is very important. you certainly do not want to leave an overly bushy brow growing as it will make you look masculine, nor would you want to have an uber thin brow that would make you age severely.
Hence, below's a simple guide on how you can achieve a perfectly-shaped brow on your own. :) Picture

STEP 1:
Using an eye pencil or a tweezer, determine the start point by placing it vertically along the side of your nose. The point where the side of the pencil or tweezer intersects with your brows marks the start of your brow (about 1 inch above the inner corner of your eye). Mark each starting point of your brows with an eye pencil and check if the space is centered above the bridge of your nose. Shave or pluck any stray hairs in between each brow. TIP: Shave or pull each strand towards the growth of the hair and not against it to avoid cuts.
STEP 2:
Now lay the pencil or the tweezer diagonally against your cheek so that one bottom is at the side end of your nose, then the other end passes through the outer corner of your eye. The point where the pencil or tweezer intersects your brow is where it should end. Mark the ends of your brows with an eye pencil and remove stray hairs that goes beyond them.
STEP 3:
Using your eye pencil, draw a line along the bottom edge of your brow starting from its  fullest part following the natural shape of your brows top line.  Shave or pluck any stray hairs below this line. As a guide, your brows should be about 1/4 to 3/8 inches thick.
STEP 4:
The arc of the brow must peak at the side of your pupil when you look straight into a mirror. As a guide, mark that point with an eye pencil. Then shape the edge of your brow, tapering its width. Imagine a diagonal V as you move towards the tip of your brow. Shave or pluck any stray hairs outside of the shape.
